“The long term development of both consistent training and growth in the coach-athlete relationship have been the bedrock of seeing athletes achieve their biggest goals in the sport.”

— Thomas Breitbach

Thomas Breitbach

Growing up as an avid sports fan, and finding himself cut from almost every one of those sports in middle school, Thomas joined the track and cross country teams mostly from a lack of other options. What began as a sport of last resort grew into a passion, where a sense of purpose, community, and ability to better one’s self and team, were the foundations of a lifestyle dedicated to the sport of distance running.

Since 2010, Thomas has worked with athletes competing in distances from 400m through 100k to pursue their goals on the roads, track, trails, and cross country course. In addition to hundreds of personal bests and scores of Boston Qualifiers, he has helped athletes achieve:

  • 12 top ten finishes at USATF National Championships

  • 6 US Olympic Trials Qualifiers

  • 4 collegiate XC All-Americans

Thomas’s coaching philosophy is centered around individualization in all aspects of training, creating a long term plan for development of all systems of performance, and adapting training to fit within an athlete’s life. The long term development, of both consistent training and growth in the coach-athlete relationship, have been the bedrock of seeing athletes achieve their biggest goals in the sport.

Originally from Muskego, Wisconsin, Thomas competed collegiately for UW-Eau Claire, where he was a four-time NCAA DIII All-American. He is proud to have coached athletes to faster times than each of his personal best times. In addition to geeking out over all things running, Thomas also has a passion for trivia contests, nature, and eating copious amounts of tasty food.
