Taylor’s specialties:
-Postpartum runners
-Athletes returning from injury
-Athlete balancing their goals with full schedules
Taylor was destined for a life committed to movement as the daughter of a basketball coach and a marathon-running mom. Her childhood was spent in the gym or participating in other athletic endeavors. Her pursuits have changed and evolved over the years: from high school and collegiate basketball, to half and full marathon running after college, to teaching yoga.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Taylor followed her love of movement by obtaining her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Minnesota. Since graduating in 2014, Taylor has worked in a sports medicine setting helping numerous runners return to the sport they love. Taylor realized she wanted to help runners beyond just treating their physical ailments; she wanted to aid in the pursuit of their athletic goals. Coaching provides that opportunity, and it’s one that Taylor has enjoyed immensely since joining the Ascent Endurance team.
Taylor’s relationship and perspective on running has evolved as her family has grown and life has progressed. She understands the importance of balancing life with training, and the positive impact that focus and commitment towards goals can have on an athlete's performance and their enjoyment of running. It’s her goal as a coach to help you as a runner fall in love with the process, while reaching whatever goals you may have.
Taylor lives in the Madison area and enjoys running with her husband (Matt), dog (Hooper), and pushing their two kids (Eli and Dylan). She enjoys teaching yoga, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
