-Runners who are stepping up to tackle a new distance
-Marathoners chasing their first BQ
-New runners building confidence and finding themselves in the sport
With a running career that began chasing the thrill of beating the boys on her middle school track team, Morgan has spent the past dozen years working to bring the most out of herself and those around her in the running community. Those communities have included championship caliber programs in cross country and track & field at the high school, NCAA, and post-collegiate level.
Morgan’s coaching philosophy centers around building individual relationships and keeping open lines of communication to ensure that training adapts and evolves at every step of the process. She believes that keeping training fun and enjoying the process are central to a positive experience with the sport and to realizing your long-term potential. As a part of the UWEC coaching staff, she helped oversee the training of a pair of first-time NCAA cross country All-Americans.
Morgan was a six-time state qualifier at Muskego High School and made six NCAA Championships at UW-Eau Claire, including earning All-American honors in her final collegiate cross country race. Her personal bests include 2:14 (800m), 4:35 (1500m), 10:12 (3k), and 21:48 (6k XC). She captained three conference championship teams and brought home back-to-back trophies at NCAA Championships.
She spends her non-running time as a pet mom to cats Reyna (6) and Po (4) & Ellie (2) the dog. She also helps support runners, walkers and athletes of all abilities at a local running store and physical therapy clinic. She lives & trains in Madison, where she is balances adding new segments with a passion for out-and-back runs.
